ADTS took part in the IAF fair in Münster, one of the most important international exhibitions for railway technology and infrastructure diagnostics.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with industry professionals, exchange ideas and present the latest innovations in railway monitoring systems and AI-based component detection solutions.

New Solutions on Display
During the fair, ADTS presented two key innovations developed for advanced track inspection:
Track Geometry Measurement System
A compact, non-contact solution that integrates laser, camera and inertial sensors to monitor gauge, alignment, cross-level, twist and longitudinal level even at operating speed.HRS – High-Resolution Surface Monitoring System
A high-speed imaging system capable of capturing sub-millimetric details of the track surface with unmatched clarity and precision.
HRS - Surface Inspection with AI-Powered Defect Detection
The HRS (High Resolution Surface) device is engineered to provide continuous visual inspection of the railway track using line-scan cameras and illumination units.
Mounted on board diagnostic vehicles, it can scan the rail surface, fasteners, sleepers, fishplates and ballast with high-resolution imaging, even at high speeds and in low-light conditions.
What truly sets this system apart is the integration of a dedicated software platform developed by ADTS for automated defect recognition.
Thanks to an embedded AI engine, the software can detect and classify:
Rail surface defects: scratches, cracks, corrosion
Fishplate anomalies: fractures, missing bolts, displacement
Fastener issues: torsion errors, missing or damaged components
Sleeper defects: breakage, misalignment, degradation
Ballast problems: contamination, loss of compaction, intrusion on track
This allows infrastructure managers to process large volumes of data automatically, focusing attention only where anomalies are detected and significantly reducing post-inspection effort.

Looking Ahead
The positive feedback received during IAF Münster confirms our commitment to pushing the boundaries of infrastructure diagnostics. ADTS continues to invest in precision hardware and smart software to enable railway operators worldwide to improve safety, reliability and planning efficiency. As always, guided by our motto:
“There’s a way to do it better – find it.”
