In 2025, ADTS delivered a fully integrated Rail Measurement System (RMS) to be installed on a grinding vehicle operated by HTT, combining rail profile and corrugation diagnostics in a single, autonomous solution.
Designed for use during regular inspection runs, the RMS supports accurate rail condition assessment and grinding process optimization without interrupting standard operations.
Installed Systems

Optical units mounted on each rail side, enabling simultaneous measurement of rail geometry and wear. - 2 × Rail Corrugation Units
Detect and quantify longitudinal surface defects on each rail via non-contact frequency analysis. - Encoder
Tracks speed and movement to synchronize all measurements precisely with the rail location. - Diagnostic Cabinet
Houses the synchronization unit, onboard computer, and power supply—managing all devices from a protected environment within the vehicle. - Onboard Monitor & Accessories
Operator display system for real-time feedback and control, complete with integrated interface and accessories. - GPS Unit
Provides geolocation and timestamping for fully geo-referenced inspection data.
The Rail Measurement System is a standalone optical solution designed for high-precision, contactless inspection of rail geometry. Integrated directly onto a grinding vehicle, it captures rail profile and surface irregularities continuously and with high accuracy.
The system’s modular design enables fast installation and seamless integration with other ADTS diagnostic technologies, supporting comprehensive infrastructure monitoring across the grinding fleet.
Optional server-based data transfer and GPS synchronization enhance diagnostic traceability and data management efficiency.
