ADTS non-contact Track Geometry Measurment System allows an evaluation of railroad track geometry in a variety of environmental conditions. ADTS TGMS integrates an inertial measuring unit with high accurate Rail profile systems and provides measurements of all critical track geometrical parameters up to 80Km/h. Gauge, curvature, crosslevel, warp, twist, top profile, and alignment are the parameters measured.
The measurement system works by means of lasers and cameras—coupled with an inertial measuring unit (IMU) to measure the relative position of the track. The rail profiles are measured to provide the rail reference points.The reference points are established in an IMU-referenced coordinate system.
